                         Spring Training Enrollment

Deadline for Registration: January 15, 2010

Where: Green Building, Johnson County Fairgrounds

When: Thursday evenings beginning February 25th- April 22nd, 2010.

Time: 7:00 pm Showmanship and Obedience (if not showing showmanship)

          7:25 pm Obedience

          8:15 pm Agility

All participants will attend a mandatory orientation meeting on February 18th,2010, at 7:00 pm. (please
no dogs).

Agility participants need to attend a mandatory workshop Snnday, Feb. 21s" 2010.

To enroll, return the registration form, fees, and proof of vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo-virus, and Para influenza are required) by January 15, 2010.

                                    RALLY -0 OBEDIENCE

All interested participants will register for the beginning class. Practice will be done during scheduled weekend practices later in the year. Announcements will be made concerning practice times and available shows.

                                      OBEDIENCE

4-Hers will move to the next class, once they receive 2 blues or 1 purple ribbon in any class.

101 Sub-novice A: For dogs and handlers with no previous obedience training.
102 Sub-novice B: For handlers or dogs with previous training but who have not qualified for Novice.
103 Novice: For dogs who have qualified in sub-novice.
104 Graduate Novice: For dogs who have qualified in Novice.
105 Open: For dogs who have qualified in Graduate Novice.
106 Utility: For dogs who have qualified in Open.

                                                            SHOWMANSHIP

201 Beginning: For handlers ages 7-8 (not eligible for State Fair competition).
202 Junior: For handlers ages 9-11.
203 Intermediate: For handlers ages 12-14
204 Senior: For handlers ages 15 and older.

 

                                                AGILITY

303 Agility I Off-Lead: Fpr dogs and handlers that qualified in Agility IOn-Lead and a Novice or
      higher obedience class.
304 Agility II Off-Lead: For dogs and handlers that have qualified in Agility I Off-Lead.
305 Agility III Off-Lead: For dogs and handlers that have qualified in Agility II Off-Lead

from the floor up to the top of the dog's shoulders. Additional lines are provided if you are

training more that on dog in different classes. AGILITY DOGS NEED ONE YEAR

               AGGRESSIVE DOGS WILL NOT BEALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE!

If you attend training classes, you and your parents are expected to help with set up, concessions, or cleanup. In order to attend classes you must have current vaccinations on file with the Johnson County 4-H Dog Club. You must also provide a crate (kennel) for your dog; you may not bring your dog if it is in season or ill.

The Johnson County 4-H Dog Club and the Johnson County Extension Service will not be responsible for any loss, theft, injury, or death of dogs attending training classes or liable for any injury to those participating or attending.
